All About Me
"In Life, I do not sweat the piety things, I just pet the sweaty things." is a Petting Zoo Players motto, for the world is our stage and it can be quite a sweaty job when one is on it.
"The
need to make sure I have stimulation in my life makes me feel open to
innovating ideas and experiences that help to truly inspire my
creativity. Unconsciously, my curiosity presses me to learn more,
experience more, and get the most out of life on a daily basis allowing
me to entertain as a professional mummer, physical clown, stilt walker,
and character actor at State fairs, festivals, museums, theaters, art
galleries, live music venues, and many charitable events, all of which
continues to educate me in exciting, worthwhile, and extreme
experiences."
* EXPERIENCE *
"I guess I have been performing for people all my Life, or so says my Mother"
Troupe Liaison(Staffing and Recruiting industry)
Directly correlating with clients visions and ideas with a
professional understanding of the inner workings of a client to client
relationship, and directly conveying such applied ideas to the
performer/ artist/ agent. Trouble shooting locations and possible
liabilities for performers and clients to provide safety for all
involved in a artistic performance or piece.
Creative Director(Performing Arts industry)
Taking a 1 or 2 dimensional ideas and transforming it into a 3
dimensional live performance piece, show, or tableau in the most
professional manner possible. 20 years of working in the live
entertainment industry gives me a in depth knowledge of sound,
lighting, and many other technical aspects needed to produce successful
shows. I have a keen eye for detail with a great gift for stage
blocking, and clear communication skills allow me the ability to
transform dreams and visions into complete productions.
Fabricator(Performing Arts industry ) Utilizing years of experience with a variety of mediums helps
provide a way to heal the world through humor and integrity and enable
me to do what I do best. Having 20 years of knowledge in costume
design, mask and mold fabrication, make up artistry and application as
well as prosthetic production, and if I can not make it....I know
someone who will.
* SKILLS *
Excellent developed crowd enticement abilities, with strong
adaptable improvisational skills based upon audience interactions,
calls and response. This allows me the privilege to work with intimate
as well as large troupes and groups with a prolific sense of following,
receiving, and directing through creative concepts and performances.
Positive adult and child clown development, arrangement, and
interpretation direction with a firm ability in performance blocking
and skit creation is a field I am well educated with. I have taught and
assisted in personal clown development, physical manipulations,
conceptual character creation, mask, costume, and make-up application,
and lectured various workshops in these fields. I have been a Artist in
Residency for 5 years at Stevens Elementary public school, with my role
varying as circus educator, coordinator, musical arrangement assistant,
prop builder, technical adviser, production consultant, and yes...even
a ringmaster! This experience proved very rewarding for my soul and
quite a educational learning process that has enable much growth for
the way I personally approach performance/performing as a whole.
* EDUCATION *
My curiosity burns with an almost physical need to know and do
more. It's only through new experiences that I feel a greater
understanding of myself or the world — which ultimately is the greatest
way for me to feel satisfied. Creative curiosity is a continuous
process that pushes me into new studies in light and sound, positive/
negative space, manipulation, prestidigitation, physical and pliable
structure, fabrics, techniques, and improvisation, taking each element
and combining them into viable produced shows.
